Congratulations to our client on getting their Horticulture Labour Agreement Request approved.
Following persistent workforce shortages in regional horticulture operations, a leading employer in Australia's agricultural sector has secured approval under the HILA to sponsor skilled overseas workers under the HILA - Subclass 482 SID visa.
With a long-standing presence in horticulture production and facility management, the employer had consistently demonstrated strong compliance with Australian workplace laws and an ongoing commitment to sourcing local workers where possible.
However, ongoing challenges in filling highly specialised roles such as Biosecurity Officers, Facility Supervisors, Horticulture Growers, and Production Horticulturists led to a comprehensive application for a tailored labour agreement.
The successful approval of HILA now enables the employer to access international expertise critically for maintaining biosecurity standards, expanding production capacity, and supporting the long-term sustainability of operations across rural and regional sites.
This marks a key step in bridging workforce gaps while reinforcing best-practice employment and operational continuity in the horticulture industry.
This achievement was made possible with the guidance and dedication of the expert team at the Education Embassy, whose deep understanding of immigration frameworks and strategic support played a vital role in securing the approval.
