Some reviews mean a little more than others. 🤍

When clients come to us, they are often navigating one of the most difficult chapters of their lives. Our role is not just to provide legal advice. It is to ensure they feel heard, supported, informed and empowered every step of the way.

This review is a reminder of why we do what we do.

Thank you, Cristyna, for trusting us with your journey and for your kind words. It was a privilege to stand beside you during such an important time.

At Melmark Law, we remain committed to delivering compassionate, ethical and client focused family law services because behind every file is a person, a family and a future worth protecting.

The 2026–2027 Federal Budget is not just political news. It could have a real impact on anyone going through a separation or property settlement.

From the axing of the 50% CGT discount to the brand-new 30% minimum tax on family trusts, signing a settlement based on old tax advice could cost you significantly.

Swipe through to see how these updates affect property splits, business valuations, and maintenance calculations in Victoria.

At Melmark Law, we are already reviewing our clients' active files to navigate these changes. Don't leave your financial future to guesswork.

The statistics are frightening, not simply because of their scale, but because they reflect what children, young women and young men are facing behind screens every single day.

Some children are being targeted before high school.
Some before the age of 10.
One in three victims will experience it more than once.
And many young people never tell anyone at all.

Recent Australian research found 11.3% of adolescents reported experiencing sexual extortion, highlighting just how widespread and dangerous online exploitation has become.

Perhaps most alarming, many young men remain among the least likely to seek help despite being at higher risk of suicide-related harm.

What starts online does not always stay online.
Isolation. Coercion. Fear. Control. Shame.

These are the same themes we see across so many forms of violence and abuse.
Because harm does not always begin face to face anymore.

This is no longer just an online safety issue. It is a human safety issue.

Following the conversations started through No Place to Go, Melmark Law is proud to host No Safe Screen with Wayne Holdsworth from SmackTalk on 8 October 2026 to raise awareness, start critical conversations and help protect people in an increasingly digital world.

Not once, but twice on ✨ ✨

Our Founder and Principal Lawyer, , returned to national television to discuss one income relationships and the important financial conversations couples should be having before making long term decisions.

The segment explored:
• financial transparency
• long term planning
• superannuation contributions
• protecting the stay at home partner
• financial independence and awareness
• and the green and red flags couples often overlook

At Melmark Law, we believe family law is not just about separation.
It is also about helping people make informed, empowered decisions throughout their relationships.

A one income relationship is not the risk.
Going into it without a plan is.

At Melmark Law, we don’t talk about impact. We build it.

And last week, that impact was recognised globally.

Our Founder and Principal Lawyer, , was recognised at the The Women Changing the World Global Summit and Awards held at the Crowne Plaza Republique in Paris.

Gold – Woman in Professional Services
Silver – Woman in Law

Recognition at this level is not built in a moment. It is earned over time through discipline, strategy, and an uncompromising standard.

If you know how she works, this will not surprise you.

She built this firm from the ground up. No shortcuts. No safety net. Just vision, ex*****on, and consistency.

What she has built is a practice that fights for you. Strategic. Precise. Relentless when it matters most.

The kind of representation that changes outcomes.
The kind of leadership that sets the standard.

She was also selected to co author a book alongside 24 women globally, launched in Paris. A collective defined by resilience, strength, and forward momentum.

We are proud of our Founder.

And we are only just getting started. 💫

The first 7 days after separation?
This is where cases are quietly won or lost.

Not in Court.
Not months later.

Right here.

We see it every day.
People making quick decisions to keep the peace…
And then spending months trying to undo them.

If you have just separated, slow it down.

Think strategically.
Protect your position.
Get advice early.

Because once a pattern forms, it is very hard to change.

If you are in this position now, you do not have to figure it out alone.
