Important update for students wanting to study in Australia ! You no longer need to show evidence of Covid-19 vaccination when you travel to Australia.

⚠️Important update!

International student visa holders will no longer need evidence of Covid-19 vaccination when travelling to Australia, and unvaccinated students will not need a travel exemption. The Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD) is also no longer required. However, travellers must still wear a mask during their flight. ✈️

Great news for international students in Australia

International students can now work for more than 40 hours per fortnight. Previously students could only work up to 40 hours per fortnight.

The limitation has been lifted for work in any sector of the economy.

These arrangements will be reviewed by the Ausstralia Government in April 2022.

While these measures are in place you must:

- maintain your course enrolment, attendance and satisfactory progress

You won't have your visa cancelled if you work for more than 40 hours per fortnight.

"Temporary relaxation of working hours for student visa holders

Due to workforce shortages, there is a temporary relaxation of student visa work limits to all sectors of the economy. This takes effect immediately for all ongoing students as well as new student arrivals who wish to commence a job prior to course commencement. This means that international students can work before their course commences and work more than 40 hours a fortnight in any sector of the economy. This also includes secondary applicants.

This is a temporary arrangement and will be reviewed by the Government in April 2022."
