Changes by NSW Land Registry Services
As of 11 October 2021, NSW Land Registry Services have gone digital and have cancelled all physical paper Certificate of Titles and all land dealings in NSW must be lodged electronically. Over the past couple of years, conveyancing has moved online and this move by NSW Land Registry is just another step to becoming completely digital.
Please do not worry as the ownership of your property will not be affected and you do not need to do anything.
What you need to know:
If we hold your Certificate of Title/s in safe custody, we will not take any action unless we hear from you directly.
If you hold your original Certificate of Title, you do not have to do anything; just be aware that it will no longer be valid to use.
If we are currently acting for you in a conveyance as a vendor, we will provide you with all of the advice needed.
If you are purchasing a property, we will confirm with you at the end of your purchase about the title to your property.
