THIS SPACE: Launceston Property Insights | Episode 03 🎙️

The first home buyer stamp duty exemption has ended. Until 30 June, eligible Tasmanian first home buyers paid no stamp duty on established homes up to $750,000. So what has changed, and what does it mean for buyers now?

In Episode 3, Jamie Beaton and Louise Gipton share what they've seen firsthand: the rush to settle before the deadline, deals that fell through once the saving disappeared, and how buyers are now factoring stamp duty into what they offer. They also discuss whether the push towards new builds can really work when land supply and build times are the bigger challenge, and how the new granny flat approvals could help ease the pressure. ✨

Whether you're a first home buyer, an investor, or thinking about selling, this one is worth a watch.
