Acrolex's Harpreet Dhillon and Atty. Irene De Torres recently joined industry representatives in Manila for a productive luncheon focused on strengthening professional connections and exploring new pathways for employment, business and investment opportunities between the Philippines and Australia.

It was a pleasure to meet Engr. Lailanie L. Luna, President of Kenmore Placement International Agency Inc., along with the GM of Kenmore, a respected Manila-based recruitment organisation with extensive experience in connecting skilled Filipino workers with overseas opportunities.

The discussion explored areas of potential collaboration, workforce mobility, professional development and practical initiatives aimed at creating meaningful opportunities for Filipinos seeking to contribute their skills internationally, including in Australia.

At Acrolex, we recognise the immense talent, professionalism and work ethic of the Filipino community and remain committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen bilateral connections, create opportunities and deliver positive outcomes for individuals, businesses and communities alike.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and building partnerships that help connect talent with opportunity.

Acrolex's Reemi Tan and Andy Naidu, alongside the incredible Sokunmony In, were delighted to meet with the wonderful Sam and Amanda of SNA Café, Albert Park.

Beyond serving exceptional coffee and creating one of Melbourne's most welcoming community spaces, Sam and Amanda have built a venue that brings people together through conversation, collaboration and meaningful connections.

We are grateful for the opportunity to discuss a range of initiatives and are excited about the potential for future collaboration, particularly within the Cambodian community and broader multicultural business networks.

SNA Café is a shining example of how Khmer businesses can create not only a successful enterprise, but also a genuine community hub.

We look forward to working together on a number of exciting projects in the months ahead.

A pleasure for Acrolex’s Reemi Tan and Sokunmony In to meet with members of the next generation of Khmer Australian professionals over coffee at SNA Café in Albert Park.

It is always encouraging to see the depth of talent, ambition and leadership emerging within the Cambodian Australian community. From business and law to public affairs, technology and entrepreneurship, the future is being shaped by a remarkable cohort of young professionals who are building bridges between cultures, industries and nations.

Conversations such as these remind us that strong communities are built not only through institutions, but through relationships, mentorship and the willingness to support one another's aspirations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared their experiences, ideas and vision for the future. We look forward to continuing these conversations and exploring ways in which Acrolex can support and collaborate with the many talented individuals helping to shape the next chapter of the Khmer Australian story.

Step change for boutique space!

In Kuala Lumpur, premium retail space is scarce so the smartest boutiques are learning to go up, not out.

Acrolex has advised boutique operators on using mezzanine spaces to increase usable floor area, improve customer flow, separate stock and back-of-house functions, and create more private, elevated client experiences.

A well-planned mezzanine is not just design. It is productivity, space efficiency and commercial strategy, provided the lease, landlord consent, approvals, safety and fit-out obligations are properly managed.

In high-rent Asian cities, vertical space can be a serious competitive advantage.

Good to spend some time with the Australian Council of Multicultural Entrepreneurs (ACME) at the Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne on 29 May 2026.

AX’s Andy Naidu was asked to speak about some of the legal issues that multicultural business owners regularly run into, things like choosing the right business structure, dealing with contracts, managing staff, handling disputes and, sometimes, simply understanding how the rules work when you're trying to grow a business in a country that wasn't your first home.

One thing that stood out from the discussion was just how much entrepreneurial talent exists across Australia's multicultural communities. Many business owners are building companies, creating jobs and taking significant risks, often without the networks and support systems that others take for granted.

Thank you to ACME and the Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne for putting together the forum and creating an opportunity for these conversations to take place.

Always a pleasure meeting business owners, community leaders and entrepreneurs who are helping shape Australia's future economy.

🇦🇺🇸🇻 Sir Frank Jaffer KR Makes Waves in El Salvador

Earlier this month, Sir Frank Jaffer KR, Vice President of the Australia El Salvador Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AUSVCC) and a senior figure within Acrolex Consulting, attracted attention in El Salvador, featuring in a Diario El Salvador article during a series of high-level engagements.

As Australia and El Salvador move towards deeper commercial and investment ties, Sir Frank has been at the forefront of building relationships, opening doors and championing opportunities between the two nations. His appearance in one of El Salvador’s leading national newspapers highlights the growing momentum behind these efforts and the increasing profile of the Australia–El Salvador relationship.

From boardrooms to bilateral discussions, Sir Frank continues to demonstrate the power of business diplomacy in action.

Congratulations, Sir Frank, on flying the flag for both AUSVCC and Acrolex on the international stage.

Acrolex was proud to attend the inaugural presentation of the Alexander Oh Equity Award on 20 May at Federation Square, Melbourne.

The Award stands as a fitting tribute to the memory of Alexander Oh, whose commitment to equity, inclusion and opportunity continues to inspire those who knew him and the broader Victorian University community.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Kate Benesovsky, the inaugural recipient of the Award. Kate’s achievement reflects the very values that the Award seeks to recognise and encourage.

We also express our sincere gratitude to Victoria University, particularly Pam Christou, Olga Salazar, Simone Flanagan, and the wider VU team, for their vision, dedication and hard work in bringing this important initiative to life.

Finally, thank you to the team at Acrolex for supporting this meaningful partnership and helping honour Alexander’s legacy in a way that will create opportunities for future generations of students.

Alexander believed deeply in opening doors for others. It is heartening to see that spirit continue through an Award that will make a tangible difference in the lives of deserving students for many years to come.
