Should you invest in an established property, or a brand new build? 🏘️
Let’s take price out of it - and assume both properties are the same cost.
New builds are often placed in growing, still-developing suburbs. They require (in general) less maintenance for the first few years, and are more predictable.
But established properties also have their advantages. They more often have a stronger land-to-asset ratio, and proven demand in neighbourhoods already filled with a thriving community. They may, however, appeal more strongly to owner-occupiers than a rentvester.
