There is still value in the market if you’re willing to look hard enough and see beyond cosmetic work. But… beware of the scary ones.

Most properties we inspected were older homes, but very clean, well maintained, and either move-in ready or immediately rentable.

One standout gem on a 600sqm block had huge potential — a fantastic first home or future investment opportunity. Clean, rentable, and ready to go.

On the flip side, one property had:
⚠️ A bulging roof
⚠️ Major wall cracking
⚠️ Black mould in the kitchen
Not all opportunities are good opportunities.

What looks like a simple paint touch-up can quickly turn into a major expense for buyers.

To properly repair a peeling painted pool, you may need to:
• Drain a 60,000L pool
• Carefully manage the risk of the shell cracking or lifting once empty
• Strip back failing paint coatings
• Repair surface damage
• Reseal and repaint the entire pool
• Refill 60,000L of water
• Rebalance chemicals and equipment

Depending on the condition, this can easily become a five-figure problem.
